America's EDM festival season starts in March and doesn't really stop until November, and many 2027 dates are already set. This calendar covers the biggest EDM festivals in the US, which dates are confirmed, which tickets are on sale, and how to choose your first one. We also cover what to wear to any of them.
Updated November 2026
The biggest EDM festivals in the US are Ultra Miami and Beyond Wonderland SoCal in March, Coachella in April, EDC Las Vegas and Movement in May, Electric Forest in June, Lollapalooza in late July, HARD Summer in August, Lost Lands in September, and EDC Orlando in November. EDC Las Vegas is the largest dedicated EDM festival in the country, with more than 400,000 people attending across recent editions, and Ultra Miami draws about 165,000.

Coachella and Lollapalooza are multi-genre festivals, but both have a large electronic music following, so they belong on most fans' calendars. An EDM concert or show is different: it's usually a single-artist night at an arena or club, while a festival stacks dozens of sets across several stages and days.
Five of the ten biggest US EDM festivals have confirmed 2027 dates so far, and all five have already started selling tickets. The other five have not announced dates, so their 2026 dates are listed as a rough guide. Confirm on each festival's official site before booking travel.

The biggest change for 2027 is EDC Las Vegas, which splits into two separate weekends for the first time. EDC Dusk runs May 14 to 16 and EDC Dawn runs May 21 to 23, both at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Dawn weekend passes and combo passes were reported sold out within days of going on sale in May 2026, so check the official ticket page before making plans.
Ultra Miami and Beyond Wonderland SoCal also share a weekend in 2027, so you'll need to choose between them. Ultra released the first names in its lineup on October 14, led by Calvin Harris, Martin Garrix, and Marshmello. If you're heading to Miami, our Ultra outfit guide covers what to wear in the March heat.
Decadence is the last major EDM event of 2026, running December 30 to 31 in both Arizona and Colorado. The Arizona edition takes place at Phoenix Raceway and the Colorado edition at the Denver Convention Center. A countdown set at midnight makes it the US scene's big New Year's Eve tradition, and it's a good way to bridge the gap before Ultra in March.
Bass Canyon and EDC Orlando are smaller than EDC Las Vegas, but each offers something the biggest festivals can't. Bass Canyon is Excision's August bass festival at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington, with views over the Columbia River canyon, and it ran August 14 to 16 in 2026. EDC Orlando closes the festival year with Insomniac's production at a friendlier scale, and November in Florida is far easier on the body than May in the Nevada desert. Our EDC outfits guide covers both EDC events, and fans of heavy bass should also read our Lost Lands guide.
First-timers usually do best at a non-camping festival close to home with single-day tickets if offered. EDC Orlando and Beyond Wonderland are gentler starting points than a multi-day camping festival. Electric Forest and Lost Lands are great once you know your own festival rhythm, because camping adds a lot of planning. Choose by sound as well as size, since a bass-only lineup feels very different from a house and techno weekend.
Every festival on this list rewards the same approach: a bold main piece, a light layer, and shoes you've already broken in. A rhinestone or sequin one-piece (a single garment covered in small crystals or shiny discs) works from Ultra to Orlando, while mirror pieces catch the lasers on night stages. Add a layer for desert nights and December countdowns, and wear your shoes around the house before you trust them for a full day.
The smart way to plan a festival year is to pick one big anchor festival, one local event, and one wildcard, then buy at the earliest ticket tier. Lineups often arrive only a few months before each event, so sort your outfit while sizes are still available. Our festival clothes collection covers every stop on this calendar, from bass-stage looks to countdown sparkle.
EDC Las Vegas is the biggest dedicated EDM festival in the US, with more than 400,000 people attending across recent editions at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. In 2027 it splits into two weekends, May 14 to 16 and May 21 to 23.
Pick a non-camping festival close to home. EDC Orlando and Beyond Wonderland SoCal are two friendly starting points, because they deliver full-scale production without the extra planning of a camping festival such as Electric Forest or Lost Lands.
General admission for the largest US festivals costs around $400 to $600 for a full weekend, before travel. EDC Las Vegas 2027 started at about $400 and Coachella 2027 at $549 to $599. VIP tiers cost far more, and prices usually rise with each tier.
Most festivals announce dates and open early ticket sales 6 to 12 months ahead, then release full lineups a few months before the event. Ultra 2027, for example, went on sale in April 2026 and shared its first names in October. Follow official channels to catch the first tier.
